Sigurður Guðjónsson is known for his hypnotic time-based media works and video installations that explore the materiality of time, sound, and mechanical motion. Focusing on overlooked industrial and elemental processes, he reveals the subtle rhythms of matter as it transforms. Guðjónsson experiments with camera lenses, perspective, light, and movement to amplify the interaction between man-made machinery and natural forces. Central to his practice are intricate soundscapes that anchor each installation, drawing out the acoustic qualities embedded in his visual investigations. Through this interplay of sound and image, Guðjónsson creates immersive, multilayered experiences that heighten perception and invite viewers into the inner life of mechanical and material phenomena.
