Steina & Woody Vasulka, Machine Vision took place at Raven Row in London
from May 19th to June 5th , 2016. The exhibition includes Steina’s 1978 installation,
Machine Vision, which questions anthropocentric vision with variations of
mechanical seeing. Also included were Woody’s Waveform Studies, an analysis of
video imagery from 1977-2016. Other examples from the Vasulkas’ experiments
with analog video and digital processes showcase their influence on image-making
today.
