On Saturday, February 10th, at 2:00 pm, the exhibition HAF by the artists Páll Haukur Björnsson and Björn Pálsson opens at the Hlöðuloftið exhibition hall at Korpúlfstaðir, Iceland. The artists make the ocean their subject in an exhibition built around a series of paintings by Björn, that reflect over 30 years of his work at sea.
The exhibition also premieres Páll Haukur´s site-specific video installation, titled (and the Waves). The title is borrowed from Lou Reed´s lyrics from the song Ocean but in the work, Páll contemplates the role that the sea plays in contemporary conceptual systems and how our reality is constantly saturated with our ideas, perceptions, and delusions.
The opening hours are as follows:
Saturday, February 10th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Sunday, February 11th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Saturday, February 17th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Sunday, February 18th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The exhibition is supported by Myndstef - The Icelandic Visual Art Copyright Association.
