Hulda Stefánsdóttir on Memory and Time

Hulda Stefánsdóttir will be delivering an errand on her creative process, especially focusing on ideas on dimensions of time within the stillness of a painting’s surface. The exhibition Shift (2016) at BERG Contemporart reflected on the impossibility of capturing a specific moment without it carrying an echo or evidence of the past. How is the here and now, simultaneously a memory of what was? Therefore there can never be a perfect starting point or the tabula rasa.
