February 25, 2026
Finnbogi Pétursson, known for his pioneering installations blending sound, light, and sculptural form, is participating in the group exhibition Affinities of Form at the National Gallery of Iceland in Reykjavík. The exhibition opened on 31 January 2026 and runs through 10 May 2026, presenting a broad overview of land art, minimalism, and conceptual art in Iceland from the 1970s to the early 2000s.

Curated by Gavin Morrison with the museum’s Pari Stave, Affinities of Form – Artistic Convergences in Iceland since 1970 highlights formal and poetic connections in Icelandic and international art, drawing on the National Gallery’s extensive holdings and key loans from private collections. Works by major figures such as Roger Ackling, Carl Andre, Hamish Fulton, Roni Horn, Richard Long and others are featured alongside Icelandic peers.
